Balloon Over Field

Continued help for physics homework?
5. The Dr. adds charge to the head using a balloon he had repeatedly rubbed on his head and touched it to the monster’s head. What is the strength and direction of the electric field at point midway between the head and sphere if the head now has a charge of -3.74x10-6?
7.The monster, who now is calling himself Vern, attacks Dr. Stein for no good reason. It is somewhat surprising that a person with a PhD in SCIENCE didn’t see this coming. The Dr. needs to discharge Vern’s head. He has a wooden meter stick that can carry a current of 1.00How long will it take to discharge Vern?
8.Vern sees Frank coming and pushes over a 1000.0V battery to block him. The wire on the battery breaks and one end touches Frank’s head and the other end his foot. The resistivity of human muscle is 200.0cm. Frank is 6.00ft tall and has waistline of 32.0 inches. (He works out.) What is the current in the circuit?
Awesome question, but anyway...
5. After contact balloon and head have the same charge. At point midway you have equal distance and charge but opposite directions so the total electric field is zero.
7.
charge Q = -3.74x10-6 C
current I=1=dQ/dt=deltaQ/deltat
deltat=deltaQ/1=-3.74x10-6/1= -3.74x10-6 sec
I would guess. I can't see what units you are using (I only see squares) so you might to need to adjust this
8.
A=(0.813/2*pi)^2*pi=526cm^2
R=200cm*182.9cm/526cm^2=70ohm
I=V/R=1000/70=14.3A

physics help: magnetism problems?
The strength of Earth's magnetic field B at the equator is approximately equal to 5 x 10^-5 T, where T stands for tesla, the unit of a magnetic field. The force on a charge q moving in a direction perpendicular to a magnetic field is given by F = q v B, where v is the speed of the particle. The direction of the force is given by the right-hand rule. Suppose you rub a balloon in your hair and your head acquires a static charge of 5 x 10^-9 C.
If you are driving east, how fast would you have to drive in order for the magnetic force on your head equal 220 N (probably enough to knock you over)?
F = qvB
v = F/qB = (220)/(5x10^-9)(5x10^-5) = 8.8x10^14 m/s
BTW, speed of light is 3x10^9 m/s
So the answer is that you can NOT drive at any speed to generate 220 N of force.
