Balloon Sky Clouds
On a beautiful warm summer day, what is the perfect song to listen to?
I am sitting at a quiet park by a lake, little kids walking by holding balloons, people laying on towels and blankets nearby reading books, others are playing Frisbee across the field, and I see people in the distance flying kites. The sky is very blue, with a few scattered white fluffy clouds, and a mild cool breeze every once in a while. No one is bothering me, so I finally a have a peaceful moment alone. I have an hour or two to kill, but I have nothing on my MP3 player that fits the moment. What should I listen to?

What do you think of my poem?
"Down Goes the Zephyr"
It drifts slowly among clouds,
Noiselessly above the loud.
Impressive kingdom in the sky,
Envied by those who wish to fly.
...................................................................................
The birds are maddened by this thing,
This balloon thinks he's the sky king.
They fly so fast, they dive inside,
Ripping clean through the vessel's hide.
..................................................................................
It was defeated, the battle won,
It fell so fast, weighing many tons.
Down it plunged into the sea,
Icy waves, dropping degrees.
...................................................................................
Once a ruler, now a slave
To the everchanging waves.
Once the greatest thing around,
Now a loser, sinking down.
...and what do you think the theme is?
It's really simple. Maybe for some school assignment it'd work but I wouldn't get any publishing dreams...I mean "This balloon thinks he's the sky king."? Come on. The poem is much too obvious and it doesn't require a lot of thought. It seems as if you're just TELLING the reader what to think and see instead of letting them provide their own imagery.
As for the theme? I don't know...is it about a popular person who gets destroyed by their own fame?
