Hot Air Balloon Gifts

I want to pick the flowers
if there are any that have bloomed
and gather them in my sweater
and scatter them across my living room

I want to have my hood up
so the wind wont affect my hair
when its fall and I'm standing in a corn field
even though my feet are bare

I want to hear the leaves
crunch under my feet
and take a deep breath of autumn air
as the whistling gusts make a beat

I want to be the girl
that stands next to the tree
that is alone in the middle of a field
so we can both believe

My theory is that a Teradactyl worked up an insatiable apetite building his nest and flying around and hunted himself a marvelous feast. He was quite thisty afterward and swooped by the sea to wet his whistle. He had no idea how thirsty he really was and before he knew it, he'd drank half of the ocean. When he attempted to take off and head back to the nest before the sun set, he found himself far too massive to lift off the ground properly. While struggling to get into the air, he kind of exploded like a balloon left off of an oxygen spout, projecting piss across both land and sea as he faded into the horizion. Some say it rained 40 days and 40 nights.
