Want text balloons to appear over images?
I have written a online story using lot of images. I want text balloons to appear when people put their mouse over an image. I have heard that one needs to give that text in a "title" for the image. How does one do that in dreamweaver 8 ?
I am a novice web master.
My website: http://www.harryinwonderland.com
Thank you in advance
You don;t have to use the title for the image, you can use the alt as well.
If you hover over your profile picture on the top right of this page, you will see you name come up. What yahoo have used is the following code>
Therefore, they have put your name Nirmala in the alt part of the img tag.
So if you can view the source of your web page you have made, you may be able to add the alt="whatever the image is to say" to it.
I do not use Dreamweaver, so I do not know how to do this with that program, but there should be a way of viewing the source to edit it.
If you cannot find it, you may have to look in the help section for "editing source" or "edit source".

What's a regular balloon made out of?
Like the one in this picture.

Just ordinary balloons.
Thanks!
A balloon is an inflatable flexible bag filled with a type of gas, such as helium, hydrogen, nitrous oxide or air. Modern balloons can be made from materials such as rubber, latex, polychloroprene, or a nylon fabric, while some early balloons were sometimes made of dried animal bladders. Some balloons are purely decorative, while others are used for specific purposes such as meteorology, medical treatment, military defense, or transportation. A balloon's properties, including its low density and relatively low cost, have led to a wide range of applications.
Hope this helps
