Balloon Basket Please help me get ideas for a balloon store?
I am currently working on opening a balloon store. I don't want to do the fancy balloon sculptures just yet. I only want to sell balloons and make small decorations with them. I also want to sell greeting cards. What else would be nice to add. Gift baskets, candy hummmm I need help. There are no balloon shops around my town but just selling balloons and cards will look rather plain and boaring. Please help I know you guys and girls are smart on here, U have great minds....
Make it a store people will LOVE coming into!!! People will come to you for balloons for parties and special events, so why not sell some party supplies as well?? Such as some pretty celophane gift bags, or the single color m&ms, baskets, little trinkets and maybe party favors??? Then they can get all of their shopping needs taken care of at your store instead of going to multiple ones. Also, why not do a monthly drawing and the person whose name is drawn gets $10 off their next purchase or gets 5 free balloons? Also, remember to keep your quality high and your prices low, because you will be competing with other stores like party city and party supermarket! Just some ideas, good luck!

My husband and I are thinking to take a balloon ride in Napa Valley this summer. I would like to know what kind of things that I need to pay attention when I have balloon ride. Oh, Another question is how do I get inside of the balloon basket???
Typically, you stay out of the way and enjoy the experience. There's alot more to it than just the view. The world just kind of slips away beneath you. Other than the occassional blast from the burners, it's near silent. You don't feel like you are moving. There is nothing else like it.
Depends on the pilot and his setup but the baskets aren't hard to climb into without a step. There are sometimes spots to put your toes to help you climb over the edge. Grab the support bars overhead and with a little hop, you are sitting on the top edge. Swing your legs over and hop down.
The landing is something you have to brace for. It can be soft and smooth, but it can also knock you down if the basket tips.
And be sure to have some champagne on hand for when you land. It is traditional for a first flight.
Talk to at least a few pilots before you book. Not their wife or whoever answers the phone. The gal/guy that will be in the basket. Go to a balloon festival and meet them. There are some real characters out there in the air.
