Do you live in McCloud, California? I do, and you're describing the situation that exists here, perfectly! The only difference is that, at the base of Mt. Shasta, our most precious resource is our water.

There are several bottling companies draining our aquifers already. The big players are here: Roxanne/ Dannone, Dannon/Coca Cola and Nestle is trying with all its might to squeeze into the fray.

We have stopped Nestle from moving forward with their plans to harvest or mine much of our spring water, since 2003. Many people are being wined and dined, vacations, new “used” vehicles, hot air balloon rides, etc….maybe even a Swiss bank account.

The local water board, whom no one ever wanted to run for, had 3 candidates in favor of Nestle who received a total of $2,500 for their campaign from Nestle, in baically a town of 600. Go figure!

It wasn't actually at the funeral, but when my sister died I was in a hot air balloon with our Dad, her friends and her music therapist, singing Up Up and Away.

Our poor Mum called a doctor to do a death certificate. The doctor asked if there was any family who could come and sit with her. She looked a little surprised that the relevant people had been sent ballooning by the dearly departed.
