Hot Air Balloon Projects
Hot Air Balloon Projects
hot air balloon project for chemistry?

i have to make a hot air balloon but i hvae no idea how to make it. here is the list of the materials that we can ONLY use. we might not use it all but the balloon should be made from those only.. can anyone help me?
here's the list:
tissue paper
glue or epoxy glue
fishing line
dry cleaning bags
straws
cork
styrofoam
wire
rubber bands
tape
light impermeable bags (grocery bags)
string..

please i really need help here. thanks a lot
we are only setting it up in the classroom so how i can i make with a size suitable for a classroom

Use the dry cleaning bag (long/wide?). Check it is airtight by blowing into it to inflate it. Check it does not deflate quickly.

Hold the "mouth" of the bag open using some straws glued together. Hold the "balloon" over a lit candle/bunsen burner. The hot air should inflate you dry cleaning bag. Let it go and it should float to the ceiling (the straws should provide sufficient ballast/weight to keep it upright).

(Try the grocery bags if the dry cleaning bags are not airtight). On the dry cleaning bags you may need to glue up the small holes.

Good luck.

Project Hot-Air balloon

Do you know the song Hot Air Balloon by Owl City?

I'm guessing if you are looking at this page right now that you know the song.

Can you think of any ideas for a music video for this song? Easy and fast because it is a project that has to be finished by Thursday, which gives me about 4-5 hours to work on it.

I know you can come up with something great ;)

do you're own homework..

  • [...] We were pleasantly surprised this morning when a friend and neighbor of ours woke us up to let us know that a hot-air balloon had just landed right in our front yard!?! What FUN! As you can see, baby S was wide AWAKE and really enjoying all of the balloon festivities going on in our front yard at 8:30 a.m. this morning! • Whoa, I would so hold on to the sides.

Fascinating dream and omen! The hare, according to The Gods of Greece and Rome by Talfourd Ely, is a symbol of the goddess Aphrodite. As for a hot air balloon, it is a vehicle that travels in the heaven, the abode of Heavenly Aphrodite. On a more personal level, hot air balloons were a major part of a reoccurring playful and sexual joke that my previous ex and I shared. As for a man driving a wooden cart, can you say, “All aboard!” or something of that nature? =)

A theme similar to Up. Money needed for transportation to special destination but can't afford it so kids have to make a way possible by using balloons, etc, as in the movie. Uses balloons to float in search of the ulitimate truth…or hot air balloon used to search for the “answer to life” in various places throughout the world, such as Paris, out west, etc. Exciting adventures a balloon away, umm, many balloons or hot air balloon away! :)
