Air Private Pilot
how difficult is it to get into air force pilot training. What makes the selection rigorous?
I hold a BS in Managent from Universirty of New Haven in CT am 25 years old and considering graduate school at Warton I was recently accepted for MBA study. Also I am a FAA licensed private pilot with instrument ratings. I wear eye glasses and want to Fly the B52 or B1 or B2 or the C5 and drop bombs on Iraq and deliver cargo. But I herd getting there is very difficult. Does haveing ADD and dislexia hurt you in the miliatry for pilot candate school.
I can't speak for the Air Force, but in the Navy, all of the maladies you mentioned, ADD, Dyslexia, and bad eye sight would most likely disqualify you from actually driving the plane . It's called the "NAMI whammy" (Naval Aerospace Medical Institute) You would probaly end up as a NFO (Naval Flight Officer) in which you would be a, Bombardier/Navigator, Weapons Systems Officer, or some other job than actually piloting, depending on the type of plane. I'm pretty sure the USAF is not much different.

Private Pilot's Ground School Exam Software
I want to get a Private Pilot License cheaply and efficiently, can I use my previous flight lessons?
I have logged about 15 hours leading up to my first solo. But I dont know if these air time and the theories I have studied in ground school four years ago expires. Anyone know how I can go for my PPL without going through the flight theories again?
Yes. you can use your previous hours they do not expire. to get out of learning aerodynamic theories again it depends on what kind of school you attended. if it was a CFR part 141 (designated flight school) school you attended and you wish to continue this route you will have to take them again. however if it was a CFR part 61 school you can choose to take them again or not. getting your license cheaply, thats another story. part 141 allows you to get your license in under 40 total hours if you are ready at that point to take your check ride. part 61 says you must have at least 40 hours. so if you started at a 141 school your best bet it to finish at that school. if not just continue your training at your local FBO or flight school. the hours are transferable any way you look at it. hope this helps!
